“Sweet Ride,” is what lots of fans had to say about Kyle Busch’s new 2018 Camry. Last week in Las Vegas, Busch showed off his special-build SEMA Camry to his 880,000 Twitter followers.
During the reveal, Busch, who drives the No. 18 Camry and currently sits second in NASCAR’s playoff standings, provided a live Twitter feed to get fans a closer look at his ride, dubbed Rowdy Edition II, after his nickname.
“Hey, what’s up Rowdy Nation we're at SEMA. I just wanted to give you guys a sneak peak,” he told fans. “Check it out. Got the chrome horn right here, that’s what’s it all about. I stuck with the black. Gotta stick with the black if you’re Rowdy.”
Busch’s creation was the result of a collaboration with Chuck Gafrarar of Chuck G Fabrication, and one of five custom Camry builds – by fellow drivers Martin Truex Jr., Daniel Suarez and Denny Hamlin, and television personality Rutledge Wood – Toyota showed off at SEMA.
Busch’s Camry features metallic finishes on the A-pillars, roof, front bumper trim, and a custom ducktail rear wing and of course it has “Rowdy Edition II” blazed on the trunk lid and front doors.
Busch’s Twitter followers were mesmerized by the design and they let him know it. Busch asked what his fans thought of Camry and they weren’t shy about shouting out what they liked most.
“That ride is sweet!!” Tweets Hunter.
Twyla seemed to love it too, “Oh me want!!!”
Others were very complimentary of the design. Joe tweets, “Black and chrome is a nice touch. I’d drive it.”
“Nothing nicer than black. This is a ride I would take home.” Tweets El Jefe.
Jay could see himself living day-to-day in the car. He tweets, “Nice looking grocery getter.”
This car even has some fans reconsidering their current car choices and salivating in Toyota’s direction. “Ok...I've only owned GM cars. I think you should give me that car so I can see what it's like to own a Toyota!” Tweets Chris.
Joe is having the similar thoughts and tweets, “I’m a Chevy truck guy, but I could see this car changing my ways. That thing is sick, Rowdy!!!”
Many fans wonder if they'll see these custom cars in a race soon. Kevin tweets to Busch, “Slap an 18 on the side and she’s ready to claim the trophy.”
Not sure if Busch will be racing this car anytime soon, but if Twitter is any indication, NASCAR fans would approve.
But Cathy says it best, “Perfect color, perfect style. What a gorgeous ride.”
Busch wasn't the only one getting twitter love. NASCAR Driver Denny Hamlin got this feedback,
Mary tweets, "Cool car! Wheels and interior are amazing! I'd love to drive that!
Suarez also got some love.
"Athletic, refined and track ready. The Daniel Suarez SEMA 2017 Camry is build is all of the above." tweets Kendra.
