Nied to Know: Dallas Symphony Orchestra

Making Beautiful Music With The Best of the Best in Texas

March 07, 2017
Getting the Band Back Together -- Introducing Maracas and the Man, the new sensation glockenspiel/maracas duo that's sure to sweep the nation in 2017. On Maracas is Dan Nied. On the glock (as us musical insiders call it) is Dallas Symphony Orchestra percussionist Doug Howard. To see our first performance, click the link below. (Photo by Karen Nielsen)

This week we make some beautiful music.

Not me, of course. I can’t play a lick. But when the Dallas Symphony Orchestra invited us to their home -- the Meyerson Symphony Center downtown -- we jumped at the chance.

We talked with three incredibly talented musicians: Brian Perry on bass, Doug Howard on glockenspiel, and Eunice Keem on violin. We even started a band that’s sure to rocket up the charts any day now.

You’re gonna wanna check this out, if only for the awesome musical performances.
