Where in the World Are These Wheels?

This Land Cruiser Prado is ready to nab the bad blokes for An Garda Síochána (“Guard of the Peace”), the national police force of Ireland.

We recently asked Driver’s Seat readers to identify the country as part of our “Where in the World Are These Wheels?” contest. After drawing the winning entry from all of the correct responses, we are happy to congratulate Sandra Estrada, customer relations specialist in the Toyota Motor Sales Customer Experience Center.

Meaning “field” or “plain” in Portuguese, the Prado is a smaller member of the Land Cruiser family. Submitting the photo of the vehicle was Stuart McGillivray, North American Parts Operations strategic planning manager.

“The photo was taken at the oldest police station in Ireland, adjacent to Dublin Castle,” he wrote. “The Garda Síochána utilizes a variety of brands of vehicles, but in my two weeks in Ireland last year, I saw more Toyota vehicles than any other brand.”
